Philosophy of the Institute for Global Peace & Education (IGPE)

IGPE is committed to creating a world where everyone living on Earth can lead a life filled with happiness and smiles. To achieve this, global peace is essential. And to protect peace, it is important for people to recognize that we are all fellow human beings sharing the same beautiful planet.

Education for global citizenship plays a key role in nurturing this awareness. If we can eliminate conflict, the vast budgets currently spent on military and defense could instead be directed toward education, welfare, and efforts to solve both global and local challenges.

While honoring the unique cultures and perspectives of each region, IGPE also values the shared consciousness of being global citizens. We aim to foster both balance and harmony through this approach to education.

Today’s education systems tend to be shaped primarily by national governments. However, we believe that education built by the hands of global citizens who truly wish for peace is what the future needs most.

This movement began with one educator in a single region of one country. Because we value what is being done more than who started it, the organizers choose to remain anonymous.

IGPE is not affiliated with any political or religious organization. At the same time, we do not reject those who act with sincere conviction in their own missions.

We hope that people around the world who care deeply about peace and the happiness of others will come to know this educational vision, resonate with its values, and join us as companions in expanding this work together.
